It’s been a busy few weeks on Koh Tao and I’ve hardly had a chance to update the Thailand Gap Internships site. Can’t believe where the time has gone!
We’ve started and completed the latest PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). They will be attending the PADI Instructor Exam this afternoon. It was a terrific group of highly experienced candidates all of whom worked for a time in the industry as PADI Divemasters. Yesterday afternoon I conducted their final open water training dive evaluations and am extremely confident that they will not only pass the Instructor Exam with flying colors, but will be a huge success in the industry.

TGI has also seen some new Divemaster candidates arrive to begin their professional-level dive training and we just recently welcomed Andrea and her boyfriend Jamie from Canada and Ireland, respectively. Andrea is currently, on her BSAC Professional Underwater Videographer Internship– a program which was tailor-made by our team at Oceans Below upon request from BSAC. We are hearing great things from her trainers and expect her to start producing some fantastic underwater movies.
