The April group for the Thailand Gap Internships IDC is just putting the final touches on their presentations in preparation for the upcoming PADI IE. Today and tomorrow we will be finishing up with our Mock IE and they will begin the REAL IE on the 27th.

"BSAC

BSAC Pro HD Underwater Videographer Scott- On the Job!

We’ve had a lot of fun with the group representing, Ireland, England, Canada, France and Belgium who were led by the TGI team from the US, Australia, France and Italy. We look forward to another successful result and a great party marking the end of the diving internship on the 29th at Johnny Chopsticks’ Reef Bar in Mae Haad.

After a day to recover, the guys will begin the PADI MSDT training to get their experience levels up before moving on to find work in one of the most exciting industry’s around!

In other news, the TGI video team has submitted the new BSAC Professional HD Underwater Videographer course to their publisher and are looking forward to the release date in the coming months. They are also in the process of updating the business with new high speed computers, video housings and have just ordered the area’s only broadcast quality progressive video camera and housing for use on future documentaries.

TGI Apnea Freediving internship trainee, Tom, recently completed day 6 of his Advanced Freedive (breathhold dive) course with a best time of 4:28 on a single breath of air. Considering he struggled to make :40 on day one, that was a tremendous improvement and just goes to show what fantastic trainers Patita and Rodrigo are!

The next Muay Thai Boxing fight night is just around the corner and TGI trainees Doyle, Sam and Jay are all set for their first paid fight. These guys are working hard every day to improve their fight skills and we all look forward to seeing their debut!

I’m organizing the next Cave Diving expedition to Khao Sok National Park for the 23rd of May. It seems that this is fast becoming one of the most popular trips on the island. We’ll start with the Cavern Diver course and then go and have a look at some of the most amazing freshwater caves in Thailand.

Apart from the bit of ruckus in Bangkok, all systems are go with Thailand Gap Internships on Koh Tao!
